Toanoi is not a warehouse with a shopfront. It is a house on a quiet Sukhumvit soi, with a courtyard you can sit in without buying anything, two floors of collection above it, and a craft room that runs workshops and events.
A green courtyard with a few tables, and coffee. No purchase expected and no rush to leave. The art and craft room opens off it, which is where the workshops and events happen.
Everything made in Thailand, in one room: printed canvas totes and pouches, the Aru Aru collaboration, Hmong embroidery and the linen rail. Including the pieces that never make it onto the website.
The kimono bags, laid out so you can see the fabrics side by side, and the Colors by Love jewellery counter. Try the name necklaces on rather than guessing from a photograph.
Outside opening hours we take one group at a time: the full collection laid out, tea in the garden, and time to try things on without anyone else in the room. Good for gift hunting, groups and jewellery consultations.
