Toanoi makes two things worth talking to us about, and they are made in different places by different people, so how you work with us depends on which one you are after.

The bags and the canvas

Anything with cloth in it is cut and sewn in our own workroom on Sukhumvit 71. Kimono bags from vintage obi silk, Hmong and Indian embroidery, printed canvas totes and pouches, and a small linen clothing line.

The obi pieces come with a limitation worth understanding before you order. One length of vintage cloth makes a handful of bags and then that fabric is finished. We cannot repeat a design once the roll runs out. For a shop that wants pieces nobody down the street is carrying, that is exactly the point. For a shop that wants fifty identical units on a shelf, printed canvas is the better fit.

Tell us roughly what you need and we will tell you honestly what we can repeat and what we cannot.

The jewellery, OEM and ODM

The jewellery side has its own factory and its own website: www.toanoijewelry.com. It is a Bangkok manufacturer making custom gold, silver and gemstone pieces for brands and retailers, and it works the way a manufacturer works rather than the way a shop does.

Worth knowing before you look:

• No minimum order on catalogue pieces.
• Three to four weeks production on catalogue orders.
• The design process is free on custom work, so you are not paying to find out whether an idea works.
• Gold, silver, gemstones, and both natural and lab grown diamonds.
• An in-house quality control team, so pieces are checked before they leave.

Who this tends to suit

Shops and galleries who want pieces their neighbours do not have. Hotels putting something in the room or the gift shop. Brands who need jewellery made to their own drawings. Museums and cultural venues looking for Thai and Japanese material with a real story behind it.

We are a small house, and we would rather do a handful of partnerships properly than sign everybody who asks.

Email info@toanoi.com and tell us three things: what you sell, roughly what quantity you have in mind, and when you need it. If you already have a design, send it. If you only have an idea, that is fine too.

You are also welcome to come and see the workroom before you commit to anything. We are at 259/80 Soi Pridi Banomyong 13, off Sukhumvit 71, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 to 17:00.
